My girlfriend gave these great pair of silver metalic 4 inch heels beautful....Well recently I had an event to go to & decided to get all dolled up & wear my new shoes. I had put some lotion on my feet and noticed that they kept slipping off..(fine, I thought it's because of the lotion) I'm at the event and realized that every time I was walking the damn shoe was nearly slipping off...
That's when I realized it wasn't the lotion the shoes were just too big...lol Needless to say my NY strut was reduced to mini geisha steps....

I still have them...(deep sigh) but I haven't worn them since then..

Many years ago, I bought a pair of great avant-garde Costume National brown knee high boots -- for a small fraction of their original price. They were very cool but several sizes too big and quite heavy. I literally felt like I was dragging them around NYC (on my feet), but I persisted in wearing them for their "giant" cool quotient.

Incidentally, they definitely made me look like I had expansionary ambitions... a la 1939.

Eventually, it got to be too much... and I had no choice but to relegate them to multi-sock snow patrol.

My boyfriend and I were on holiday and he'd bought tickets to see Goldfinger & Reel Big Fish in concert, he was going with his friends but I tagged along. There was no way I was going out and looking like a bogan so I wore these beautiful black patent leather stilettos, to which my b/f exclaimed 'you can't mosh in heels!' but I didn't care, I wanted to look fabulous! At the end of Goldfinger's set my b/f and his best mate thought it would be hilarious to teach me a lesson, they picked me up and threw me on top of the crowd - I actually crowd surfed for about 5 minutes but in the process I lost one of my beloved shoes... When security helped me down I was devastated I sobbed at my b/f that it was all his fault and sulked in the toilets for a while. When I eventually came out I started my hunt for my lost shoe, after asking almost every loser in the joint I turned around and like a sign from heaven, there was my lovely shoe sitting on the middle of an empty table! Some wonderful person had left it there for me, I was so happy to have it back! My boyfriend never lets me forget about it, and I still wear the shoes! They're even more special now!

I never had to step in big shoes but I did wear strappy sandals to my prom and walking down the stairs both heels broke so I went barefoot the rest of the night. However I started a trend and all the gorls were kicking off their shoes and dancing barefoot.

Having always loved beautiful shoes, designer when I could afford them and having been a dancer would never ever take off my shoes at a function especially if there was dancing even if my feet ached. Consequently,
I've just had to have foot surgery just so I can wear those beautiful shoes again. I refuse to resort to flip flops and sneakers.

I admit I was a sucker for some BIG Prada metallic loafers 2 sizes too large for my feet on clearance @ Marshall Fields Oval Room in Chicago, because I just couldn't say no. I have to wear superthick socks and my straight jeans, but then am good to go. Of course I think they're still the bomb!

I quite literally had to step into BIG shoes once, and only once mind you. I was playing the role of a dutch doll in a production in grade school and had to wear *yikes*...wooden clog shoes, it was dreadful. I played the role but will forever despise those big awful shoes, I do not envy the dutch.

Oh my! The lengths I'd go to to wear hot shoes? Well, I certainly will endure getting pains and blisters for a few hours in stunning shoes and even if it is a bit too small for me.
