The Perfect Fit: What Your Shoes Say About You ©

So, what DO your shoes say about YOU?

International footwear authority, author and TV personality Meghan Cleary has the answer.  Seven years ago, she both coined this pop culture term, and wrote a book about it.  Using focus groups, market research, hundreds of interviews with footwear designers, thousands of interviews with shoe wearers, and her years of fashion reporting expertise, Meghan has now written two books on the topic, The Perfect Fit : What your shoes say about you©!  and Shoe Are You?®.

Shoe therapy, her proprietary way of helping people audit and upgrade their shoes closets – and their life, was first offered to clients at the Mandarin Hotel in New York City in an exclusive package for guests. As it grew with private clients, it later became her popular show on HSN and at events around the country like Crystals in Las Vegas.

In 2012, her extensive research and reporting was formally corroborated by the psychological study Shoes As a Source of First Impressions, which appeared in the Journal of Research in Personality.  Meghan’s premise, which presciently foreshadowed the study, is that shoes can be an accurate indicator of who we are, and also what we want to convey about ourselves and our identities, both to others and ourselves. She is truly is a shoe therapist!
